About us
The foundation was founded in 1972 out of the need to support the work being done by George and Chessie Harris at the Harris Home for Children which was established 1954 in Huntsville, AL. Their numerous humanitarian undertakings with the vision of George and Chessie Harris, which is "Unconditional Love for Humanity." We continue to support their legacy by positively impacting children's lives through summer camps, internships, and educational and cultural enrichment programs that aren't easily affordable for the working poor, giving them the opportunity to "Follow Their Dreams."
Ongoing activities
Success is measured by the excitement of children wanting to continue pursuing their academic studies and dreams. We encourage that excitement and support educational initiatives in various communities.
